We start this newsletter with a huge thank you to everyone who donated food, toiletries and other goods over the Christmas period. Every year the good people of Bromsgrove and surrounding districts amaze us with their generosity – and this year was no exception. In fact this year was the best ever! We had schools, churches and other organisations collecting on our behalf, families calling in with items, sometimes every hour, and even people deciding not to buy each other presents for Christmas but giving to Basement clients instead. The Methodist has a Cafe and Quiet Room which is open on Monday – Friday 10:00 – 15:00 and Saturday 10:00 – 12:30. Come along and enjoy a warm drink and something to eat, make new friends or have time for peaceful reflection. A warm welcome awaits.

This year we will be supporting a Prayer walk around Bromsgrove between the 7th and 13th October. Participants are encouraged to go out in groups of at least 2 and plant stakes in the ground with short prayers on them.

St Godwald’s Church Finstall 13 November 2013. The Chair welcomed everyone and stated the format for the Evening. 1. Worship taken by Rev Carey Saleh She spoke about Halleluiah and its meaning, read Psalm 136 and sang the Gloria with everyone taking part. 2. Talk by Paul Norris on Grace Church This is a frontier Church formed in the 1960s. They embrace all and have many young families and teenagers, the latter who actually take notes during 45 minute sermons!
